We fly into & out of Dublin, Ireland. See Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Connemaa, , Sligo, Bundoran, Belleek China Factory, fascinating Giant’s Causeway, Antrim Coast of Northern Ireland, Belfast, Boyne Valley, Hill of Tara, Dublin, Book of Kells, Waterford Crystal Factory, Cork, Blarney Stone, Killarney, Dingle Peninsula, Tralee, Adare, and much more. Little walking and much bus riding through very scenic countryside. Weather in July – Average high 67˚ Average low 51˚
Itinerary
Day 1, Mon.. July 2 – Fly from Baton Rouge (or other home airports) for overnight flight to Ireland’s capital, Dublin. Day 2, Tues., July 3 – Belfast, Northern Ireland – Morning arrival in Dublin. Motor coach to the Boyne Valley, visit the amazing
tombs of New Grange which predate the Egyptian pyramids. Then into the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland. Overnight in
Belfast area.
Day 3, Wed., July 4 - Londonderry – Morning guided sightseeing in Belfast. Motor coach to visit mysterious and impressive
Giant’s Causeway, an area of hexagonal columns. Then on to Londonderry, noted for its ancient medieval walls.
Day 4, Thurs., July 5 - Bundoran – Morning visit to fabulous Belleek Pottery Factory. See how it’s made and shop. Then on to
coastal Bundoran where we overnight. Beautiful seascape.
Day 5, Fri., July 6 - Galway – Visit Sligo, Keat’s grave. Then through the wild Gaelic speaking Connemara region. This
unspoiled area is known for its sweeping views of bog land, misty mountains and picturesque villages. Overnight in Galway.
Day 6, Sat., July 7 - Shannon – Morning visit to Rathbaun Farm and learn about daily life on an Irish sheep farm, have coffee and
scones in an old farmhouse. Then view the awesome Cliffs of Moher, rising nearly 700 feet high – a truly spectacular view of
Ireland’s Atlantic coastline. Overnight in Shannon.
Day 7, Sun., July 8 - Killarney – Morning visit to the thatched roof village of Adare, perhaps Ireland’s most beautiful village.
Through Tralee to travel one of the most majestic coastal routes in the world, the Dingle Peninsula. Spectacular views of the
Atlantic, charming coastal villages, ancient stone huts (beehive), sight of movies such as “Ryan’s Daughter” and “Far and Away”.
Our home for two nights is scenic Killarney.
Day 8, Mon., July 9 - Killarney – Today we embark on Ireland’s most popular scenic drive – the Ring of Kerry. This circular tour
will reveal constantly changing vistas of mountains, open Atlantic Ocean, beaches and cliffs. We drive through the remote towns of
Cahirsiveen and Waterville and return through the colorful village of Sneem. At Moll’s Gap stop to view the three lakes with the
mountains and town in the background.
Day 9, Tues., July 10 - Dublin – Morning motor coach to Blarney Castle where we will have the opportunity to kiss the famous
Blarney Stone, which bestows the gift of eloquence. Enjoy shopping in the Blarney Woolen Mills. Afternoon visit to the world
famous Waterford Crystal Factory. Then on to Dublin, our home for two nights.
Day 10, Wed., July 11 - Dublin – Morning guided sightseeing includes the world-famous St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Phoenix Park and
Trinity College with the eighth century Book of Kells (Bible) and magnificent Old Library. Tonight we enjoy dinner and traditional
Irish music.
Day 11, Thurs., July 12 – Fly home today, arriving the same day.
