Day 1, Tuesday, June12- Chattanooga, TN – Motor coach from Zachary, Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Hammond, McComb, Jackson, and Birmingham
Day 2, Wednesday, June 13 – Harrisonburg, VA – We travel through beautiful Eastern Tennessee and the scenic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Visit Natural Bridge.
Day 3, Thursday, June 14 – Lancaster, PA – Panoramic sightseeing in Washington D.C. viewing the highlights – Capitol, White House, World War II memorial on the way to Lancaster, Pa. and our hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Amish Country, and our home for 3 nights. We will do day trips out from this central location. We enjoy an included dinner at an Amish restaurant.
Day 4, Friday, June 15 - Lancaster – Morning Amish sightseeing with mid-day Amish home meal. Afternoon train ride through beautiful Amish countryside on the Strasburg Railroad. Tonight we enjoy a theater production about biblical creation at the outstanding “Sight and Sound” Theater. This theater is great and worth the trip itself.
Day 5, Saturday, June 16 - Lancaster – Full day of sightseeing, activities and shopping in the Amish area. Guided Amish farm and house tour. Enjoy the Amish Experience. Enjoy shopping at Kitchen Kettle village in Intercourse.
Day 6, Sunday, June 17 - Berlin, Ohio – Morning visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World, where the chocolate making process is explained and shopping abounds. Afternoon drive across Western Pennsylvania to the Amish area (central eastern Ohio) for 2 nights.
Day 7, Monday, June 18 - Berlin– Full day of Amish related activities and sightseeing with an included lunch in an Amish home. Buggy ride and back-roads tour. Visit Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center and a 265 ft. mural depicting the history of the Amish. Visit Troyer Country Market.
Day 8, Tuesday, June 19 - Bowling Green, KY - We reluctantly depart the Amish and journey through Ohio and Kentucky for overnight.
Day 9, Wednesday, June 20 – Motor coach through Nashville, Jackson and Hammond to Baton Rouge and Zachary, arriving with many wonderful memories.
