Itinerary
Day 1, Wed., Aug. 1 – Chattanooga – Motorcoach from Zachary and Baton Rouge, Hammond, Jackson, MS, Birmingham to Chattanooga.
Day 2, Thurs., Aug. 2 – Hagarstown, Maryland – Travel through beautiful Eastern Tennessee and the scenic Shenandoah Valley of
Virginia. Overnight in Hagarstown.
Day 3, Fri., Aug. 3 – Kennebunk, Maine – Through Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut to Boston for brief sightseeing. Possible
to fly into Boston this day and join the trip. On return can fly out on Aug. 14 from Boston. Overnight in Kennebunk.
Day 4, Sat., Aug. 4- St. John, New Brunswick – Visit Kennebunkport and the beautiful coast of Maine. Into New Brunswick for
overnight.
Day 5, Sun., Aug. 5 – Halifax, Nova Scotia – Motorcoach through Moncton and across Nova Scotia to the capitol city of Halifax for
three nights
Day 6, Mon., Aug. 6 - Halifax –. Guided city tour of Halifax to including their famous harbor, public gardens, Citadel
Hill and Cemetery for Titanic victims. Afternoon visit to Peggy’s Cove, most photographed place in North America for sunset.
Day 7, Tues., Aug. 7 - Halifax – Journey across Nova Scotia and visit Grand Pre National Park, French Acadian historic center and
site of Longfellow’s “Evangeline”.
Day 8, Wed., Aug. 8 – Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia – Motor coach to Cape Breton and the village of Baddeck for two nights.
Visit the interesting Alexander Graham Bell Museum.
Day 9, Thurs., Aug. 9 – Cape Breton Island – Spectacular scenery highlights our day – long travel along the famed Cabot Trail
which takes us along a rugged seacoast and through lofty mountains. Visit Cheticamp and Ingonish.
Day 10, Fri., Aug. 10 – Prince Edward Island – Motor coach and ferry to lovely Prince Edward Island, our home for two nights.
You will love this island, the smallest province (state) in Canada.
Day 11, Sat., Aug. 11 – Prince Edward island – We tour Charlottetown and then explore the pretty countryside with a visit to “Anne
of Green Gables” home. See beautiful beaches and cliffs and wonderful farms. Included lobster dinner.
Day 12, Sun., Aug. 12 – St. Andrews By-the-Sea, NB – Motor coach to New Brunswick, visit Hopewell Rocks and witness the
highest tide in the world (Fundy Bay), on to beautiful resort of St. Andrews By-the-Sea for overnight.
Day 13, Mon., Aug. 13 – Manchester, New Hampshire - Across Maine and into beautiful New Hampshire. Overnight
Manchester.
Day 14, Tues., Aug. 14 – Cumberland, West Virginia – Back into Boston. Those flying would depart around noon for home.
Across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and overnight in Cumberland.
Day 15, Wed., Aug. 15 – Nashville, Tennessee – Today we drive through the mountains of West Virginia and the Bluegrass country
of Kentucky. Overnight Nashville.
Day 16, Thurs., Aug. 16 – We motor coach through Tennessee to Jackson, MS and on to Hammond, Baton Rouge and Zachary,
arriving home with many wonderful memories.
