Price is per person, based on double occupancy & includes roundtrip transportation from Zachary & Baton Rouge to New Orleans airport, air fare from New Orleans, transfers, Miami sightseeing,  port charges, taxes & all meals on ship.  Tips while on the ship are not included & are approximately $140 per person.

Departures from airports other than New Orleans are available with cost adjustment.

 

Itinerary

 

Day 1, Thur. Nov 4 – Early morning transfer from Zachary & Baton Rouge for New Orleans.  Our American Airlines flight departs at 6:00 a.m. for a direct flight to Miami arriving at 8:45 a.m.  Enjoy a guided tour of Miami & Miami Beach before boarding our ship in early afternoon for a 4 p.m. departure.  We will enjoy the “Norwegian Star” where we have a variety of superb dining opportunities & be continually pampered & entertained.

 

Day 2, Fri., Nov. 5 – Enjoy a day at sea.    

 

Day 3, Sat., Nov 6 – Roatan Bay Islands, Honduras - Arrive at 7:00 a.m. and depart at 3:00 p.m.  The reef off the bay islands rival the Great Barrier Reef.   A variety of optional shores excursions available for purchase at this and all our ports of call.

 

Day 4, Sun., Nov.7 – Enjoy a day at sea.

 

Day 5, Mon., Nov. 8 – Cartagena, Columbia – Arrive at 7: a.m. and depart at 3:00 p.m.  As rich in history as it is in emeralds, Cartagena, Columbia is a jewel unto itself.  You’ll get a panoramic overview of the city & harbor from the heights of La Popa Monastery. Other sites not to miss: the artisan center of Las Bovedas (The Dungeons), Plaza Bolivar, the Palace of  Inquisition  & the Church of San Pedro Clave.

 

Day 6, Tues., Nov. 9 –Daylight transit of the Panama Canal – This fifty-mile-long waterway is one of the great engineering achievements of all times.

              The complex     system of locks lifts ships 85 feet when they journey through the isthmus. The canal eliminated the need to journey around Cape Horn, South

              America’s stormy tip, providing opportunities for global trade & travel.

 

Day 7, Wed., Nov. 10 – Enjoy a day at sea.

 

Day 8, Thurs., Nov. 11 –Puntarenas, Costa RicaArrive at 7:00 a.m. and depart at 6:00 p.m  Costa Rica is an eco-friendly blend of beaches, volcanoes and rain forests.

 

Day 9, Fri., Nov. 12– Enjoy a day at sea.

 

Day 10, Sat., Nov. 13 – Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala – Arrive at 7:00 a.m. and depart at 5:00 p.m.  Time to explore this charming colonial city.  Guatemala is one of the largest countries in Central America and known for its volcanoes and rich, Mayan heritage.

 

Day 11, Sun., Nov. 14– Huatulco, Mexico – Arrive at 12:00 noon and depart at 6:00 p.m.  Explore the foothills of the Sierra Madre or the edge of the Pacific Coast.

 

Day 12, Mon., Nov. 15 – Acapulco, Mexico – Arrive at 8:00 a.m. and depart at 6:00 p.m. This is a place where the rich & famous come to escape.  Optional excursions offer a striking panoramic view of the beaches & mountains, the beautiful homes & lush gardens.  See the thrilling cliff divers plunge into the turbulent waters of La Quebrada.

 

Day 13, Tues., Nov. 16 – Enjoy a day at sea.                                                                                      

 

Day 14, Wed., Nov. 17 – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Cabo San Lucas, a once sleepy fishing town located on the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula is now one of the most popular resort destinations in Mexico.  Rolling sand dunes & hidden coves dot a countryside ringed by some of the most famous & often-photographed rock formations in the world, such as El Arco, a magnificent natural rock formation at Land’s End.

 

Day 15, Thur., Nov. 18 – Enjoy a day at sea.

 

Day 16, Fri., Nov. 19 – Los Angeles – Arrival at 8:00 a.m.  Brief sightseeing as we transfer to the airport for a 1:35 p.m. flight home.  Arrive at New Orleans at 8:50 p.m. & transfer to Baton Rouge & Zachary.

ZACHARY TRAVEL CENTER in accepting bookings for this tour clearly stipulate that they are not liable for the faults or default of other companies and persons that may be used in carrying out of the tour services; also for accidents, baggage losses, strikes, political unrest, riots and acts of God and war.  In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort or well being of the passengers or for any reason whatsoever to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the operator.  Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the passengers.  The right is also reserved to withdraw any or all tours, also to decline to accept or to retain any persons or members of the tour.  No refund can be made for absence from the tour, unless arrangements are made at the time of booking.  The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any acts, omissions, or events during the time passengers are not on board.
