Itinerary & Registration

Day 1, Mon., Apr. 30 – Paducah, KY – Early morning departure from Zachary, Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Hammond, Jackson, MS, through Tennessee to Paducah or vicinity.

Day 2, Tues., May 1 – Elizabethtown, KY – Morning in Paducah to visit Hancock Fabric (still open) and National Quilt Museum (a quilter’s paradise and the largest quilt and fiber art museum in the world). Included lunch at Patti’s 1890’s Settlement in Grand River, KY. Patti’s has won awards from Southern Living magazine – great food and hospitality. Afternoon drive through rolling hills to Elizabethtown, KY or vicinity for overnight.

Day 3, Wed., May 2 – Lexington, KY – Morning touring in Louisville, KY. Enjoy the Churchill Downs and Louisville Slugger tours. Afternoon tour of historic Frankfort – cemetery and state capital building. Two nights in Lexington or vicinity.

Day 4, Thurs., May 3 - Lexington – Morning drive north to visit the Creation Museum (the 6-day account of creation) and the newly opened replica of Noah’s Ark (exact dimensions, etc.)

Day 5, Fri., May 4 – Bardstown – Morning visit to Kentucky Horse Park with 11:00 a.m. “parade of breeds”. See multiple breeds of beautiful horses. Afternoon visit to historic Harrodsburg, Kentucky’s oldest city. Overnight in Bardstown vicinity, Kentucky’s second oldest city and setting for Stephen Foster’s “My Old Kentucky Home”, now the state anthem.

Day 6, Sat., May 5 – Franklin, TN – Morning visit to My Old Kentucky Home State Park. Then visit Lincoln’s birthplace near Hodgenville. Enjoy a tour of the National Corvette Museum. Every Corvette produced since 1982 was manufactured at Bowling Green. Overnight in Franklin or vicinity.

Day 7, Sun., May 6 – Journey home arriving in late afternoon, early evening.
