Day 1, Mon., Oct. 16– Abilene, Texas – Early morning departure from Zachary and Baton Rouge. Pick-ups along I-10 to Lafayette, I-49 to Shreveport, I-20 through Dallas to Abilene for overnight.
Day 2, Tues., Oct. 17 – Santa Fe, New Mexico – Journey through Lubbock, Tx. Clovis & Ft. Sumner, N.M. and on to Santa Fe for our 5-night stay. Our hotel provides “kick-back” from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. nightly (limited free food and drink). Time to begin to explore the Central Plaza area.
Day 3, Wed., Oct. 18 – Santa Fe – Morning guided tour of this 400 plus year old capital city. Afternoon free for shopping and exploring.
Day 4, Thurs., Oct. 19 – Santa Fe - Taos – Today we visit Taos and area. We see the famous 1000-year old Taos Pueblo, Kit Carson Home and Museum and Rio Grande Gorge and Bridge.
Day 5, Fri., Oct. 20 – Santa Fe – A free day for independent activities. Several great museums available.
Day 6, Sat., Oct. 21 – Santa Fe – Tour pre-historic Indian dwellings at Bandelier National Monument, and more.
Day 7, Sun., Oct. 22 – Wichita Falls, Texas – Today we motor coach toward home by way of Amarillo.
Day 8, Mon., Oct. 23 – Home by way of Dallas and Shreveport.
