A One-Day Trip You Don't Want to Miss
Considered one of the best WWII Museums in the United States every American should see. Enjoy two presentations, ROAD TO BERLIN and ROAD TO TOKYO.
Explore the museum from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Begin with the new portion – a major new building was added in 2014 that offers much to see.
The all new first floor is called “Road to Berlin” and is a “walk-through” with the 11 major World War II events in Europe. The second floor is “Road to Tokyo”. Enjoy an inspirational film called “Beyond All Boundaries” by Tom Hanks. Also visit the new building with aircraft.
Continue your self-guided tour of the museum’s original building on the 2nd and 3rd floor for a D-Day presentation. See a model of the beaches of Normandy with the relative positions of the number of aircraft and amphibious vehicles.
After departing the museum at 3 p.m., we drive directly back to Baton Rouge and Zachary.
